The Cisco Kid smashes a gang of wiretapping gold robbers. A Sheriff's posse flushes a band of stagecoach robbers who tap telegraph wires to learn of gold shipments. The bandits escape, but lose all their loot. They plan one more big robbery for get-away money this time raiding a telegraph office and gunning down the operator. Cisco and Pancho, in their pursuit of the bandits, separate. Cisco goes to the telegraph station where the outlaws lie in wait for a message about the next gold shipments. Meantime, Pancho taps a telegraph line and sends a false message to lure the robbers into Cisco's trap. The bandits, suspicious, leave one man on guard. The guard sneaks up behind Pancho and captures him. The bandits, furious at Pancho, decide to kill him for revenge. When Cisco finds Pancho's broken wire-tap, he suspects trouble at the telegraph station. As the bandits poise a knife at helpless Pancho's throat, Cisco, in a daring attempt to save his amigo, plunges from his galloping horse and crashes through the window of the telegraph station!
