Prankster Sam Porter is making a fortune selling ranches other folks' ranches and is getting away with it for lack of evidence. But Cisco tries his own practical joke an Pancho, masquerading as a rich Mexican in the market for a ranch, pretends to be taken in by Porter's scheme. But just as Cisco is about to nab him red-handed, Porter bolts and flees to open country. Porter meets his henchmen in the mountains and they lay a clever ambush for Cisco and Pancho. Porter booby-traps the trail and Cisco and Pancho brush death as they ride unknowingly to a surprising adventure and a joke of their own!
