The Cisco Kid finds stolen money travels in strange circles. Cisco's lifelong friend, Wells Fargo messenger Henry Banning, disappears with $25,00 cash in what appears to be a daring daylight robbery from a guarded stagecoach. Cisco and Pancho refuse to believe Banning would steal, but the money is missing and Banning was the only one to leave the coach. A thorough search of the trail where the money could have been hidden reveals nothing. Cisco reasons that the only other person that knew of the shipment was shady Wells Fargo agent Hoagy Williams, but the range avenger needs the stolen money to convince him and free Banning. While Cisco investigates the stagecoach, Williams betrays his guilt by sniping at Cisco, who dives under the coach for cover and finds the money strapped to a wheel of the coach! Banning is found tied up in William's hideout and is cleared of suspicion.
