A prison wagon passes through North Fork, carrying a condemned killer guarded by two vicious drunken prison guards. Angered by Lucas, who has refused to give them more whiskey, they resolve to get even with him, and when their prisoner escapes, they devise a brutal scheme of revenge. They capture Lucas and substitute him as the prisoner, but Lucas devises a unique means of escape.
