Actor Nick Dimato returns to Tarzan's jungle to shoot a movie. The movie not only stars Nick, but marks his debut as a director. Joining him is his temperamental leading lady Bibi Gunnarson who hates the jungle and everything connected with it. Tarzan is not happy but since Nick is donating $50,000 to the Foundation Jane works for, he reluctantly accepts it. The next day, Tarzan hears Bibi screaming and swings in to rescue her from a python that has dropped from a tree in front of her, not knowing that this is really a scene from he movie. Bibi is enraged. She turns to Nick and quits the movie then and there. Nick, panicking at the thought of failing in his first attempt at being a director, calls Hollywood to try and find a last minute replacement, to no avail. Suddenly comes up with a devious plan to con Jane into becoming his leading lady. After much sweet-talking, he convinces her that she could become Hollywood's next superstar. She tries to hide her excitement from Tarzan who thinks she is only being used. Later that day, in the jungle, Tarzan sees Nick and Jane kissing and confronts them. Jane says they were just rehearsing but Tarzan doesn't seem to believe it and stalks off into the jungle.
