Tarzan's old nemesis, Hauser, is seen searching the beach for some kind of package. Tarzan leaves the camp to investigate. Meanwhile, a monkey that Jane had quarantined escapes from his cage and runs away. Over at the beach, Tarzan stops Hauser and searches him for contraband items; Hauser is clean. But suddenly, a box comes up on shore and Hauser runs for it. Tarzan gets there first and breaks it open. The box is filled with stolen morphine. Before Tarzan can look up, Hauser slugs him with a cheap shot and runs with the morphine. Hauser runs towards the camp and hijacks a small plane that Roger is getting into. Hauser is shocked to find the infected monkey and Roger in the back of the plane. The monkey bites Hauser and he stays conscious just long enough to land the plane. Once on the ground, the monkey goes back to quarantine and Hauser is silenced forever.
