Sonny and Will are captured by a duo escaped convicts. When Will takes a shortcut despite Sonny's protests, he discovers a bullet-ridden auto and stops at a remote garage to report it. He is greeted by a gun-carrying convict (guest Aldo Ray), his trigger-happy buddy (James Keach), and the con's thrill-seeking girlfriend (Marilyn Hassett) that takes a liking to Will, an event that puts both the drivers' lives in jeopardy.
