Jenny is away from the farm overnight on a call and Vicky packs breakfast and takes it to her the following morning. The farm she arrives at is unfriendly andVicky meets a hostile young servant girl, Enid who directs her to Jenny in the barn. Jenny tells Vicky of the miserable life Enid leads in the service of Mrs. Maunsell but Vicky sees another side to Enid in the way she responds to the sick cow that Jenny has been tending.
