When rancher Burt Williams discovers an oil deposit on his property, he is slain by one of his hands, Hank Peters, before he can inform anyone of his discovery. Cisco, Pancho and Williams' niece, Peggy, hear the shot, but Peggy thinks that Cisco and Pancho did the shooting. Cisco and Pancho are hauled off to jail. Peters then goes into cahoots with Walt Stuart, a gambler, and between them they embark on a campaign of rustling, designed to make Peggy sell the ranch. Cisco and Pancho break out of jail, find out what is behind the rustling, and Peters, Stuart and their confederates are brought to book.
