When Jake Foster and Dolf Jason discover that the man they had known in the state pen as Bill Marsh is cashier of the Pine Valley Bank under the name of Marshall Weatherby and is going to marry the bank president's daughter, they decide to move in on the gravy train through a little blackmail. Foster tells Bill to dig up $10,000 or face exposure. Bill, a straight-forward youth who has gone straight since his first and only mistake, tells Cisco and Pancho what he is facing. But before Cisco can do anything, he and Pancho are accused by Foster on a trumped-up murder charge and are forced to run for cover. Cisco concocts a plan where Bill, refusing to get the $10,000 for the two crooks, tells them to get the money themselves and he will leave the bank door and vault open. Foster and Jason fall for the trap and wind up in prison themselves.
