When Ben Jarrett opened a stageline in Bittercreek, where the Western Freighting Company operated by Elaine Frazer has had a monopoly, it gave Elaine's cousin, Judd, the opportunity he had been waiting for. A heavy loser at gambling, Judd enlisted the aid of several heavies and looted Western Company's wagons, making it appear that Jarrett was responsible. Believing that Jarrett was to blame, Elaine tries to shoot him but is prevented by Cisco and Pancho. Cisco and Pancho then lay a trap with a phony gold shipment and prove to Elaine that Judd is the culprit.
