Jane and Roger wash a raccoon, while a bird eyes Jane's friendship ring, which is sitting on a table. The bird flies off with the ring unnoticed. When Jane finishes the raccoon's bath, she cannot find her ring. She looks all around the camp and sees Cheetah playfully roaming the perimeter. She is sure that Cheetah took it. When Jane begins to berate Cheetah, Tarzan steps in an tells Jane that Cheetah says he did not take the ring. Jane becomes miserable and everyone (including Cheetah), begins to look around. Meanwhile, Jane thinks back to the time that Tarzan gave her the ring. Tarzan had explained to her that he mates for life and that ring was the symbol of eternal love. After the flashback, Jane realizes that the loss of the ring made her realize how serious her commitment is to Tarzan. She is not sure if she can say absolutely that Tarzan is her mate forever. Tarzan says he understands Jane's hesitation for complete commitment, and that he is content to wait for the ultimate decision. Not long after, Cheetah returns from the jungle with Jane's' ring, having rescued it from a bird's nest. Jane is sorry she ever doubted Cheetah's honesty.
