Ben Hardy, convicted forger who bears a remarkable resemblance to wealthy rancher Henry Murdock, is sprung by Roger Holbrook, a clever criminal, and impersonates Murdock who has been kidnapped by Holbrook's men. Holbrook's objective is to loot Murdock's ranch, but Cisco and Pancho, getting involved in the situation through Murdock's niece, bring the heavies to book after almost being killed on several occasions.
